Youth Outpatient Programs

De Paul Treatment Centers offers outpatient and intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment to youth 13 to 17 years old and their families.

In outpatient treatment, young people attend groups once or twice a week. Youth participating in intensive outpatient treatment attend groups three or more times a week.

De Paul provides youth outpatient services at our locations in NE Portland and Hillsboro. Our caring professional counselors can address mental health issues in addition to drug and alcohol addiction. Family counseling is part of the treatment and available to all families.

Young people typically spend three to four months in outpatient treatment at De Paul, but length of time is individualized and may vary. Frequency of groups varies as well from once a week to five times a week. The counselor, youth and family create the treatment plan together based on need and individual situation.

Young people usually meet with their primary counselor for individual sessions and/or with family weekly or every other week. Family sessions happen throughout treatment. Sessions are led by DePaul’s team of professional outpatient counselors.
