Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). A combination of medication and behavioral therapies is found to be an effective treatment of OUD and can help people to sustain recovery long term.  To receive MAT services you must be admitted to De Paul’s Detox program or be in our Residential program.  Eligibility for MAT services will be determined after a complete client evaluation. Not all individuals are eligible for MAT. The final determination is made by De Paul medical staff.

As of February 1, 2020, De Paul is a tobacco-free facility. Smoking cessation services and adjunctive therapy through prescription of Nicotine Replacement Therapy will be available based on an individual’s needs
