On Thursday, April 30th, local dignitaries and community members including Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Speaker of the House Tina Kotek participated in De Paul Treatment Centers’ virtual groundbreaking event to celebrate and kick off the building of their new modern, state-of-the art addiction treatment facility.

Maree Wacker, De Paul’s Chief Executive Officer remarked, “We are pleased to bring this new resource to our communities and continue the legacy of our organization’s mission to serve all who struggle with substance use and mental health disorders. By offering the full continuum of care under one roof we can join the patient’s full journey to recovery.”

The virtual groundbreaking event was a monumental moment for De Paul Treatment Centers who have provided Oregonians with treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction spanning five decades.

“It’s reassuring for me to know that those suffering from addiction will continue to receive comprehensive quality and individualized care in the positive environment that this new facility will offer when it opens next year,” said Ted Wheeler, Mayor of Portland, OR.
