De Paul Treatment Centers’ Visionary Campaign for Hope and Recovery
In June 2016, De Paul Treatment Centers’ Board of Directors and leadership embarked on a visionary journey to design and build a new and innovative addiction treatment facility and community resource that would be unique in the State of Oregon. Inspired by our 40-plus year legacy of providing Oregonians with exceptional, evidenced-based care, we assembled a best-in-class project team and went to work bringing our vision to life.
Fast-forward now to 2020, and we are thrilled to share our progress with you. With our new property secured and design work complete, we are moving into the construction phase of this project, where we will finally see our vision take form.
Take a virtual tour of our new home:
Situated in the Gateway District of East Portland – adjacent to Adventist Health and with regional transit options in close proximity – the new facility will improve and expand access to treatment for the high needs local community, as well as individuals and families from across the state. The new two-story 53,000 sq. ft. facility, designed by Holst Architecture, will sit on 3.4 acres of therapeutically planned green space. The new treatment center has been designed using trauma-informed principles and is purpose built to provide holistic care for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Characterized by ample natural light, the facility will offer patients the opportunity to engage in an approach to healing that cultivates hope despite years of illness and trauma. The new facility’s contemporary design evokes calm and respite in a beautiful setting.
This project is transformational for De Paul and for addiction treatment in Oregon. The programs offered will include a full continuum of care – medical withdrawal management, residential treatment, and outpatient services – and community gathering spaces for education, assembly, and celebration.
The facility will deliver treatment services to over 5,100 individuals and their families a year and reach an additional 5,300 individuals through community education programs. De Paul Treatment Centers’ new facility is highly anticipated and welcomed by the entire Portland community.
And plan to join us at one of our grand openings next year! The Center is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021 and is made possible with both private and public funding.
