Julia's Story
“I felt like I was just a bunch of little pieces and I had no idea who I was anymore.”
Julia was 19 when she experienced her first high after she took a prescribed pain medication for an infection. She remembers how good and how normal the drugs made her feel. Over the next ten years, Julia pursued that high and became addicted to heroin. She lost her family, her home, her education, her dreams and most tragically – Julia lost herself.

Throughout the year over 2,000 adolescents, adults, and families participate in treatment services at De Paul Treatment Centers. This holiday season we ask that you please join us in helping others.
